I knew that being a stay-at-home mom was important. That's why I did it. But today, I really realized the importance of being available for my children. Today was "muffins for moms day" in my daughter's kindergarten class, and the moms were invited in to read stories to the children and enjoy a muffin. Other people's kids are not really my deal, so I wasn't super excited about it, but I went, and many of the other kids were saying "I wish my mom was here." And my daughter turned to me, gave me a hug, and said "I love you mom!" WOW! One simple hour, and I just made a nice memory for my daughter. This whole experience just really reminded me why I'm a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom and gave me a nice little nudge to progress even more!
