I have seen a lot of websites on the news that are really making a difference in the world, like soldiersangels.org and doonegoodthing.com. Both sites are very innovative and helpful for people who need it most. I also saw an interview with Bill Clinton where he was talking about a whole lot of wonderfully helpful programs, including the Hurricane Katrina relief with George H.W. Bush. These people all share my passion. They want to help people. But they are actually out there making a difference and I'm not.
Well, my world is mostly online, so if I can start some kind of helpful website that provides some kind of service to people who really need it, I can combine my passion with my creative hobby.

I'm a Proud Work at Home Mom!

I knew that being a stay-at-home mom was important. That's why I did it. But today, I really realized the importance of being available for my children. Today was "muffins for moms day" in my daughter's kindergarten class, and the moms were invited in to read stories to the children and enjoy a muffin.
Other people's kids are not really my deal, so I wasn't super excited about it, but I went, and many of the other kids were saying "I wish my mom was here." And my daughter turned to me, gave me a hug, and said "I love you mom!" WOW! One simple hour, and I just made a nice memory for my daughter.
This whole experience just really reminded me why I'm a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom and gave me a nice little nudge to progress even more!

Google Adsense Deleted me!!

Yes, I got that oh-so-dreaded email from Google, saying that invalid clicks were generated from my site. So someone was crewing around on my website, and because of that, they rip $130 of earnings right out from under me?
The email stated they would be returning my earnings to advertisers, but I seriously doubt they have the technology to track every click to every advertiser over the last 3 months....over 50,000 page impressions. After doing some searching on the internet, I have come to find out that the Adsense/Adwords "teams" are VERY secretive about the way they run their business and have many times been accused of "having too much power and not enough responsibility." NO KIDDING!!
The earnings were fast and easy, but obviously it's because they pick & choose who they're going to pay and whose earnings they're going to keep. A word of advice: DON'T JOIN GOOGLE!! They SUCK!

This website was featured on Good Morning America as a legitimate work at home job. The job is search guide. You help people find what they're looking for on the internet, and get paid $5-$20 an hour doing so. The advancement is quick, and it seems to be a great program!

PPC Fraud--A Rock and a Hard Place

Lately I have been battling with my conscience when it comes to paid to read email programs that send search emails and then send admin emails that tell you you MUST do a valid search to get paid. This has happened at many sites, and now a VERY well-paying site is following the same path. This is an email I received from Read Revenue, a site that pays me steadily ever week or so, but this is what makes me want to opt out:

You're not likely to find legitimate work at home jobs advertised as such in the classified sections of tabloids or Web banner ads. For that matter, you'll have a hard time finding them advertised anywhere. They are few and far between. For one reason, reputable employers typically don't call them work at home jobs, as previously mentioned. For another, most employers are not so desperate for people to work from home that they must advertise for them. So, if you go hunting for jobs advertised as "work at home" instead of "regular" jobs for which the employers might allow telecommuting, the only ads you're likely to find are those placed by scammers.

The only types of jobs advertised like this are snow jobs, not real jobs. Most are outright scams, and the few that aren't usually turn out to be schemes or unglamorous jobs (such as telemarketing) that don't offer benefits or produce enough income to earn a living. Ads like these are typically nothing more than phase one of baiting campaigns. The advertisers intentionally design them to get you to respond, so they can bombard you with junk mail or telemarketing calls to sell you on their scams. These bombardments are the "free details." But in reality, they're not details at all. They're simply phase two of the baiting campaigns. Naturally, the so-called details are free, as are all advertisements. You'll likely pay for the real details, and even then you'll typically get fraudulent and misleading information.
If you respond to the ads, you're considered "hot" by the scam artists. Even if you don't buy into their scams and schemes, they make money on you anyway. Once they have your contact information, they sell it to list brokers, who resell it to other scammers. Then the other scammers bombard you too, while you're hot. Hot is just another word for potential sucker to the scammers, and they've been playing this game for years via the classified sections of tabloids and such. Unfortunately, they've discovered the Web and email too.
